陈小文，大连人，艺术家，策展人，美国阿尔佛特大学终身教授，中央美院、鲁迅美院、天津美院客座教授，曾任康乃尔大学建筑、美术、城市规划学院教授和美国罗特岛美国设计学院客座教授。现任美国阿尔佛特大学美术设计学院媒体艺术系系主任。陈小文近年来在中美两国重要美术馆举办多次大型个人展览并应邀参加参加了许多重要主题展。其中包括：2009年北京今日美术馆的个展“临界点”，美国阿波尔纳克思美术馆的个展“大烟”，和美国萨罗克思大学当代美术馆的个展“壮观”，等。参加过的主题展有纽约布尔克林美术馆举办的“数码版画”双年展，圣 . 芭波罗美术馆举办的“纸上的艺术”，美国阿波尔纳克思美术馆双年展，成都双年展，等。除了个人创作，陈小文还承担了多项策划展览和组织国际研讨会的工作。其中包括：北京世纪坛举办的第一界国际新媒体艺术展览和研讨会，798艺术区举办的“美国电子艺术研究院十年回顾展”，清华美院举办的“康乃尔大学教员作品展”，2010年十月在中国美术馆举办的“美国当代版画艺术展”（策展人），以及2010年十二月在何香凝美术馆举办的“纸道－来自美国纸上的艺术” （策展人）。    
  
Xiaowen Chen’s layered work includes print, photograph, video and interactive digital media. His work has been featured at museums and galleries, including Todays Art Museum, Beijing; Santa Barbara Art Museum, Santa Barbara, California; Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn,New York; Albright-Knox Gallery, Buffalo,New York; Herbert F.Johnson Museum of Art, Ithaca, New York; Indiana Museum of Art and Science, Evanston, Indiana; China Millennium Art Museum. Beijing; and The Warehouse Gallery, Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York. Most recent major art exhibitions he has curated include“American Printmaking Now” at the National Art Museum of China, Beijing and “Logic of  Paper” at the He Xiangning Art Museum, Shenzhen, China. He received the New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship grant in 2003; Laurie Tisch Sussman Foundation Award and Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts Grant in 2004.
