To study and align the theoretical understanding of all the museum party officials with the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the CPC branch of He Xiangning Art Museum held the (extension) activity of party lecture for all the officials on Oct. 22, to gain an insight into the series of important speeches and thought of General Secretary Xi Jinping by studying that noble spirit.

To enable a deeper-ranging knowledge of the historical position and rich implications of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era for all party officials, the CPC branch particularly selected Bringing the Language of ‘Ping’ Closer to the People: The Dictionary of General Secretary Xi Jinping, a special series of Lecture Room co-produced by the Publicity Department of the CPC and China Media Group. Taking the ancient books and classical dictums used by Party Secretary Xi in his series of important speeches, articles and talks as the point of departure, the program made new interpretations by quoting the classics, giving audience a more intuitive reading of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

As the inaugural (extension) activity of the party lecture series, the theme of Bringing the Language of ‘Ping’ Closer to the People: Caring for Every Detail of the Life of Our People was selected, stressing the key elements of “what, why and how” in our fundamental principle of “for the people”, and clearly mandating all officials to earnestly put the interests of the people in their mind, bring tangible benefits to the people by making substantive efforts and be meticulous and all-inclusive in supporting people’s livelihood. As a Shenzhen-based Category-1 public institution directly affiliated to the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee, the museum has long been interested in delighting Shenzhen citizens with exceptional exhibitions and high-profile academic lectures. The party lecture helped museum party officials value the importance of visitors to the museum and furthered their conviction to build a better art environment with outstanding exhibitions by implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of CPC raised by Party Secretary Xi.
