The Meeting of Ideological and Political Work in 2018 was held on May 8, planning for the work of ideological development of museum-wide officials after our institutional reform. The meeting announced the roster of the recently formed leadership team of ideological and political work. Cai Xianliang, team leader and Deputy Director of the museum, delivered an important speech and led all the officials to earnestly study the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as well the spirit of the speech made by Xi in the Ceremony Commemorating the Bicentenary of the Birth of Karl Marx.
Cai reiterated the importance for the entire museum staff to study and practice the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, to enhance the sense of responsibility and purpose and actively align our thoughts and actions with the arrangement and requirement of the Central Committee of Communist Party of China (CPC). As an icon and window of Chinese culture, He Xiangning Art Museum should step up its efforts at ideological work and insistently place ideological and political work at the center of our agenda. All the museum officials should be clear with their positions and roles, attune their mindsets, raise higher personal requirements and improve their ideological competence to meet the needs of the CPC Central Committee and state organs. “The Party exercises overall leadership over all areas of endeavor in every part of the country,” and all the museum officials should unswervingly hold this conviction and adopt the code of conduct for party members to strictly regulate their behaviors, while non-party officials should keep improving themselves and actively move closer to the party.
The first-ever meeting on ideological and political work after the institutional reform of the museum, this event helps museum-wide officials learn and understand the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to effectively raise the awareness and change the mindset, keep up the good work in every position and every assignment, work together to practice the core socialist values and join hands to contribute positively to the development of He Xiangning Art Museum.
