The Contemporary Young Artists Case Study Exhibition Series is presented by He Xiangning Art Museum, to exhibit the innovative, experimental and distinguished contemporary art to the public. The exhibition series is aiming to provoke cutting-edge thoughts and in-depth communication, and to build a platform that allow young artists to showcase and communicate.

He Xiangning art museum has been highly focusing on Women Art and local Art. The Contemporary Young Artists Case Study Exhibition Series start from presenting the latest artworks by local female artist Zhang Ni, including lighting art Emergence of Order, painting Nests, interactive art This Is Not What I Meant, and installation The Southern Branch. Not bounding by rules, Zhang Ni bridges materials and forms intuitively, intending to spark an in-depth conversation between them. Her recent creation follows the rule of no rules. The four experimental works share the characteristics of the “rules come from chaos”.

The four site-specific artworks are in dialogue with the exhibition space and the museum building. The continuation and interactivity among the them maximize the practice that resonate with location, artwork and audience, on a multidimensional and multi-sensational level.
